I’d like to introduce Dosh. A simple expense tracking app for android. I’ve always been a bit crap at managing my money so I’ve tried lots of ways to keep a track of how much I’m spending. Dosh allows me to do this very simply.

When you first open Dosh you will see the following screen.

Adding a new account couldn’t be simpler. Touch the New Account button. You should see the following.

Saving will list the account in the account list which can then be selected.

Once selected the transaction list will be displayed which will, of course be empty. The current account balance will be displayed at the top in red for debit or green for credit.

Touching new transaction will display a form to enter transaction details as shown below.

Saving the transaction will adjust the balance and add the transaction to the transaction list. Below is a list of transactions.

Pressing menu will allow you to gain access to the repeating transactions list which is shown after some repeating transactions have been created.

Touching New Repeat Transaction will display the repeat transaction form to allow you to create a repeating transaction.

The date of the repeating transaction defines the first date on which the transaction will be created. The repeating transaction can have the following frequencies

Repeating transactions are processed when Dosh is opened or by pressing menu on the Accounts list.

The app uses two permissions, sd card usage to install to external card if available and the internet for adverts.

Anyway, I hope you find it useful.

Features to be included soon are

  • Password protection.
  • Import/export.
  • Backup/Restore of data.

If you would like to see any other features email me
